TEN REASONS WHY ONE SHOULD WORSHIP SAI BABA OF SHIRDI

1) First and foremost because, in the: words of Hemadpant the author of Shri Sai Satcharita, He has taken a vow to give you what you want.

2) And that too immediately "cash down". You ask with sincere devotion (shradhha) and patience (Saburi) and there is the result.

3) He is so easily pleased. No hard penance, no unbearable fasts, not even difficult concentration and control of senses. In his own words, "You look to ME and I look to you". Can there be anything simpler than this?

4) He has left His mortal body 86 years ago and even today thousands of devotees have experienced His presence, halving met their demands. What more guarantee is required?

5) Not being bodily present as a human being today, there is no danger of being cheated in His worship. In case of so many Avatars, Bhagwans and Yogi's cropped up at present in the country; one is not sure if one is following the real preceptor (Sadguru).

6. No money is required to worship Baba. He is pleased even with flowers, fruits, leaves or even water devotionally offered. You do not have to spend for -traveling unto Shirdi also, He is available even from where you are-'even beyond seven seas'.

7) Ashes (Udi) from the fire burning eternally in His Dwarkamai is the cheapest and most infallible medicine of all diseases. The cost is only two paisa-faith and patience.

8) His life-history written by Hemadpant contains all the wisdom of Vedas, Upanishads and Geeta in the form of simple stories and anecdotes. Reading them alone and following the advice therein, one can reach the goal of liberation without fail.

9) Repetition of His name SAI so short, so sweet and so easy to pronounce No twisting of tongue and no difficult accents.

10) Last but not the least, He, on fulfilling your demands in this world, ensures that you do not get caught in the dangerous network of this 'Sansar’. Slowly He moulds you, guides you and takes you step by step to liberation (Moksha) which is the key to eternal and everlasting bliss.

Prayer to Baba

O Sai sadguru the wish fulfilling tree of the bhakts, we pray, let us never forget and lose sight of Your feet. We have been troubled in this sansar – free us Baba. restrain us from the outgoing of our sense and introvert us and bring us face to face with Yourself. As long as there is not checked there is no prospect of self realization. No relation will be of use in the end. It is You who will give us salvation and bliss. Destroy completely our tendency for discussions and other evil matters. let our tongues get a passion for chanting your name. drive out our thoughts and forget us our bodies and do away with our egoism. make us ever remember Your name and forget all other names. Remove the restlessness of our minds and make us steady and clam. If You just clasp us the darkness of the night of ignorance will vanish. we shall live happily in Your light .that you made us drink the nectar of your Leelas and awakened us from slumber is due to Your grace and our store of merits of past births.

sai sar quote...(6-13nov)

Baba dear, very Happy Thursday!!!

This week saisar quote of the week goes as "तलवार की चोट इतनी तेज नही होती है, जितनी की जिव्या की" which means, the wound caused by a sword is not as sharp as that caused by a bitter tongue.

Its a common feeling that you get hurt, when somebody speak rudely to you and vice-verse

One always come across people, who are rude, impolite, consciously or otherwise. they may not say bad thing to you or anybody, but the manner in which they anything, may hurt your feeling. You don't get why are they so rude to you and other,
but researches have shown that hard circumstances have rendered them to behave like this.

As is it said, "what you say is as important as how you say". Thus, every time, I feel or realize I'm being rude, impolite to others, I immediately, try to improve myself, then and there itself.

All this week, I trying all the more hard, to be polite and kind to others while dealing or talking to them. Constant remembrance of this "sai sar" helps me a lot.

What Inspires you?

What is inspiration? What is the definition of your inspiration? How often do you get inspired? What is your one permanent source of inspiration? What is your most common source of inspiration? When inspired, what’s the first thing you like doing? Do you like the company of all time inspired people or not?

These are some of the simplest questions that arise, when I think of the word “inspiration” In this hectic and busy schedule, one is not able to take out or rather get enough time to think about such subtle feelings like inspiration.
Try finding and seeking answers to your such subtle feelings.

I’ve always felt that artists, no matter what field they may be in, seems more inspired, than a common man. And today this is becoming somewhat like a fact.
Professionals, actors, sportsperson, painters many more, always seems being inspired no matter if their life is going topsy-turvy.

One may get to see or hear stories, from ones favorite actor, saying, "Dash dash has always Inspired me and so today, I’m too in this field and conquered it already”

Earlier children grew up seeing qualities like discipline, punctuality, hard work, honesty, humility etc.But today, such fine qualities seem to disappearing into the thin air.

Nonetheless,if one wish to be inspired, one is, no matter what.
Then,no barrier is too big for him. As, if you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.
--William Arthur Ward

Baba, you are my Inspiration

Today, everything in my life has changed. But what has most changed is my perspective. Today, I see everything in Baba's light. The past present and future, all the three phases.

Today, Baba and Baba alone is everything for me. It doesn't matter much if all
that's happening is good or bad, right or wrong … what matters is that, everything
that's happening, may be Baba's will.

In today's date Baba is my sole inspiration and hope the feeling be there forever and ever!Baba you inspire me to do or think anything be great or small. To lead life in a more simple way.

Baba is the best inspiration, for anybody. Serving Baba in any or all forms gives fullest satisfaction to all the senses; and this satisfaction can't be easily achieved, by doing any other types of (social) services. And this is my self tested opinion with at least 10-15 years experience.

Baba you are my inspiration, to live, to die and to serve this world. Baba with your thoughts flowing thro' my veins, I feel blessed and satisfied to my heart's content.
May you ever inspire me like this!
Amen.

What Inspires me ?

...
What is the source of your inspiration?
As for me, any and everything can be and is inspirational.
I try to take inspi from almost anything. No matter how big or small anything be,
You never know when, where what might inspire me!

But, nature is the first and foremost my source of inspiration.
From a little blooming bud to huge trees, their greenry , from mountains to rivers to seas, to birds, insects and animals And of course humans too to sunrise and sets, to moon, to weather, all, all has been inspiring me greatly, from childhood itself !

There’s no such thing in Nature, that doesn’t inspire me.

So, what does it actually inspire me to do? Like anybody else, nature inspire me
To pen down poems or stories, draw pictures, and above all, they just inspire me. It has always persuaded and convinced me to think. Think anything beautiful!

Nature has long been old friend. Whenever I felt alone or lonely at school or otherwise too,Nature has always accompanied me. It has provided me with enough strength and support in one way.

In short, I have talked saw, touched, heard and played with nature, and hope to be enjoying like This for the time to come!
amen!

Everyday IS a New Day !

...
Right from school life, we were made to cultivate the simple and lovely philosophy of taking everyday as a “present” .Those were the days when Baba was not in our consciousness.
When around 2 years back we did come in the fold of our Sai, Thursdays assumed greater importance as regards all other day.
As such is not uncommon for Baba devotees to celebrate “Guruwaar” as the “day of Baba”. In hindi the word is synthesis of the two words Guru + Waar. Where Guru refers to the spiritual master and "waar" meaning day. Baba is regarded as the supreme incarnation of the Lord Dattatreya.
Himself Sainath is Sacchidanand Sadguru ie Truest Master who is Pure knowledge and Bliss incarnate.
By celebrating Thursdays we would mean to mark that day as special –especially dedicated to worship/devotion of Baba.

Thus we now live, as we say fondly, from each Thursday to another.
Only when you know Sai the whole world assumes the form of Sai.

sai sar quote...(30-6nov)

Baba!
sai sar quote of the week is "ek bar boloe hue vachan wapas nahi aate. ath souch kar bolo" , which means, words once uttered cant be retrieved, therefore think before u speak

Like time, spoken words too don't come back! from childhood only we are taught to speak kind and loving words, be polite and considerate while saying or talking someone. even then, most of us are generally unaware of this subtle fact, that how we say or talk.

If we just think once, only only once, just before uttering any words, we would feel, that what we are speaking, is really necessary, appropriate and useful. Then, it would strike us that, we can use better, kind words instead of using vocab, which might hurt listener's feelings.

Human, alone has the boon of speaking and the ability to express their feelings.
Using good and cool vacab, not only impresses the listeners but also make one feel good.

In Hindi, there is one quote which says, "Aisee Vani Boliye, Mun Ka Aapa Khoye
Apna Tan Sheetal Kare,Auran Ko Sukh Hoye
" which means, Speak such words, sans ego's ploy Body remains composed, giving the listener joy.

"Sai Baba" gift from our didi

Didi got a gold chain and lovely Baba pendant the other day. The pendent was so nice –plated in gold and studded with diamonds (imitation of course) and a lovely picture of Baba in centre. Didi showed it to us saying she will wear this on Diwali. We loved the pendant so much. Yesterday we took out all we had shopped for Diwali as a way of seeing it once more for the last time …before packing it for only opening on the Diwali!

Again came out the pendant. As we were holding it our palms for beholding it- it slipped and fell on ground. Its hook was broken so it could no longer be put in the chain. Didi asked us to keep it. so we got the Baba pendant as a Diwali present from our Didi.

sai sar Quote for the week(16 oct-23oct)

Last week SAI BABA was "kroudh Murkta se shuru hota hai, aur pashshyatap pe samapth hota hai" which means,Anger starts from foolishness and ends on regretness. And we did remember and tried to follow and practice this for the week. Only with BABA's grace.

The sai sar quote of the week is "Namrata se devta bhi manush ke vash me aa jaate hai" which means, with humility even gods come under human control.

This quote fits rightly on our SHRI SHIRDI SAI BABA. SAI is an epitome of humbleness. Nobody Is more humble than our SAI BABA. Because, only he can be humble who has some virtues. Like, the tree laden with fruits is bended, unlike a tree without fruits.

Sai owns all the virtues, be it small or great. HE own, possess and rules all the virtues. All virtues in both human and other gods.

Though Sai is god HIMSELF, but then also HE is the most humble. Baba, you set a very good Example for your devotees, on how to be humble and practice this all through the life.

Humbleness in other words means, enduring all the pain, suffering and calamities which befalls On us. As, Sai baba loves, those whose suffer and endure pain.

BABA,bless us so that we may become humble like you. Only because of your and your grace and Krupa will we be ale to become the like.
